Second Home is a sky-blue hued coffee spot nestled on Bay Terrace in Wynnum. It’s cosy, comfortable and informal, with the majority of seats spread out across an informal alfresco space or cloistered in a room behind the coffee bar. Five Senses is Second Home’s go-to supplier – you’ll find the roaster’s full-bodied Crompton Road blend on deck for smooth milk-based coffees, as well as a fruity Tanzanian single origin for black coffee. Batch-brew drinkers can quaff rotational single origins, with more options from local roasters expected to join the line-up in the future. Non-coffee drinkers can opt for cups of specialty tea from Ripple Effect Tea Co., Heirloom hot chocolate, and cold-pressed orange juice from Hrvst St. Brasserie Bread is currently supplying a small quantity of pastries daily, available alongside cookies and Doughluxe Doughnuts, the latter of which is available on Saturdays.
