Side Piece Coffee

As an increasing number of venues adopt a ‘no menu changes’ policy, Side Piece Coffee is going against the grain to do quite the opposite with a build-your-own option. Those who prefer the tried-and-tested favourites will also find a selection of house faves including The Sub, loaded with Italian meatballs, mozzarella, basil, parmesan and a drizzle of herb oil, and the classic Egg Sando, which is essentially a fancier grown-up version of an egg-and-lettuce sandwich. As for the brews component, the milk-based coffees will feature The Black Lab Coffee Co, alongside a rotating offering of single-origins and blends for filter and pour-overs. Be sure to leave some room for something sweet from the in-house pastry chef. The choc-chip, miso and brown butter cookie is a signature, but there’s also a pretty tempting Corn Flake crunch. Oh, and if you’re worried about the parking situation (if you know Varsity, you know) you needn’t be – just turn into the driveway and veer to the right where you will find visitor parking.
