Brisbane tech unicorn Go1 has accelerated its global expansion plans with a takeover of European content library Coorpacademy.

The move will combine Go1ās existing offices in the US, South Africa, Vietnam, the UK and Malaysia with Coorpacademyās base in France and Switzerland.
Coorpacademy has about 1 million users but Go1 has not revealed the cost of the acquisition.
The company attained the status of a unicorn (a start-up valuation of $1 billion) last July following a $200 million capital raising and the takeover of Coorpacademy would bring it closer to its goal of 1 billion users.
āAs we continue to scale globally as a leader in the corporate education space, we plan to focus on expansion in the US and Europe but are looking forward to the opportunities of reaching and impacting new regions in the future,ā Go1 chief executive and co-founder Andrew Barnes said.
āCoorpacademy is already well established in France and Switzerland and we are excited about this geographic expansion.
āThis acquisition will enhance Go1ās existing roots in Europe and extend the e-learning content library in this region to support the growing demand for quality content.ā
