A former Queensland MP will head a cancer foundation while another moves up in education. Suncorp has shuffled some key executives ahead of its bank sale.

Former Queensland Environment Minister and Sandgate MP Vicky Darling has been appointed as chief executive of the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation.
Darling, who has been running a consulting business, will replace Joe Tooma who had led the foundation for 14 years.
The foundation has a goal of eliminating cancer by 2025.
Jane Hancock is leaving her role as Central West Hospital and Health Service chief executive in coming weeks.
Hancock has spent five years in the role.
She will move Metro North health where she will be chief operating officer.
Former Queensland MP Stuart Copeland has been made deputy chair of the Moreton Bay Boys’ College.
Copeland, a senior manager of government engagement with Origin, has been a director at the school for just over a year.
Copeland was previously an LNP MP.
Suncorp has appointed Cassandra Hamlin as its company secretary and to support the sale process of its banking division, while general counsel Belinda Speirs will be seconded into the role of group executive (completion and transition).
The current group customer advocate Michelle Bain will step in as general counsel and will be part of the group’s executive leadership team.
Luke Abercrombie has been appointed chief information officer at the Port of Brisbane.
He previously worked for Transurban for about four years as the head of technology.
Steve Davis has been made senior adviser for mining and metals a dss+, an operations management consultancy.
Davis was previously with Deloitte where he was director of transformation and operations consulting.
He has also worked at PwC and Rio Tinto where he was a specialist in environmental governance.
