A man is in a critical condition with a stab wound to his chest and investigations are under way following an early morning house fire in Brisbane.

Emergency crews were called to the home in Grange just before 5.30am on Thursday and found a small fire and the injured man.
He has been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition, Queensland Ambulance said on Thursday.
The fire was extinguished a short time later.
A woman and two children were assessed by paramedics at the scene.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham is expected to provide further details later on Thursday.
