Man faces murder charge after fatal assault in Gold Coast shopping centre car park
A man has been charged with murder over a fatal assault in a Gold Coast shopping centre car park.

Police were called to a car park at Hope Island on Monday afternoon following reports a man had been seriously assaulted.
Paramedics treated the man for life-threatening injuries, including a chest wound, but he died at the scene.
The 23-year-old Redbank Plains man was arrested about 5.30pm on Monday and later charged with murder.

He is expected to appear at Southport Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
A 23-year-old Surfers Paradise man has also been arrested.
Police said both men were known to the victim.
