In less than a week the first major unveiling of Queenâs Wharf precinct will occur as The Star Brisbane opens its doors Thursday August 29.Â

Thousands of locals are expected on the opening day to explore the newly revealed attractions of the $3.6 billion Queenâs Wharf development.Â
âThursdayâs commencement of our multi-staged opening is a monumental moment for Queensland, and we look forward to sharing the celebration with locals who have had a front seat to the cityâs transformation,â said The Star Brisbaneâs chief executive officer Daniel Finch.
âOur phenomenal team are preparing to welcome thousands of locals and visitors eager to be amongst the first to enjoy our world-class culinary experiences, including The Starâs stand-out Japanese restaurant Sokyo and the new iteration of Luke Nguyenâs iconic Brisbane favourite Fat Noodle. We are also expecting thousands of sunset-chasers up on Sky Deck, The Star Brisbaneâs 24/7 rooftop playground offering breathtaking views of Brisbane and surrounds.â
The Treasury Brisbane Casino will be closing ahead of the opening, at midnight on Sunday August 25, leaving Brisbane City casino-less for three days.
Thursday will also see the first guests checking into The Starâs on-site 5-star hotel The Star Grand, and the first look at its state-of-the-art Event Centre which will reportedly include one of the largest ballrooms in the city.Â
In the wake of this grand unveiling, there will be a continuous multi-phased series of openings and launches at Queenâs Wharf through late 2024 and beyond. These include The Starâs multi-restaurant dining destinations The Terrace and Sky Deck .
Once fully operational, The Star Brisbane and Queenâs Wharf Brisbane claims it will entice 1.4 million additional visitors to Queensland each year.
